The Toronto restaurant scene is unparalleled in Canada. We have an abundance of ridiculously good restaurants, all focusing on cuisines from around the world. We should feel pretty lucky to live in a city that is home to so many unique places to dine! Testing

As many choices as there are in this city, we all know the struggle of deciding on where you want to go. That's what this list for, to help you out when you're stuck! 

It can be overwhelming trying to find the a great spot to go that has amazing food, is close to your area AND has an adorable interior with a good atmosphere. All these Toronto spots fit the bill!

If you're looking for real, authentic Thai food in Toronto Khao San Road has got you covered. This spot gets a lot of hype in the city but they 100% deserve all of it because their food is delicious, flavourful and creative!


17. Seven Lives

If you're looking for some seriously good tacos, this Kensington hot spot is the place to go. They feature Baja-style tacos with their #1 seller being their Baja fish tacos! It's a casual spot to enjoy with friends or to take to go when you're in a rush.

Kost Restaurant is located on the 44th floor of the swanky Bisha Hotel in downtown Toronto. They offer dinner, lunch and cocktail hour but their brunch is a crowd favourite. They serve amazing dishes, morning cocktails and you'll feel like you're dining up in the clouds with a breathtaking view of the city skyline!

Junked Food Co. is famous for it's insane creations with our favourite junk foods. Some of their delicious creations include their nacho smash bags, deep dish pizza, cookie dough scoops, poutine and more!

UPDATE: Junked Food Co. has closed their Toronto restaurant indefinitely, but their menu is still available for catering. 


14. 416 Snack Bar

Serving up good food, good drinks and good music, 416 Snack Bar is always a safe bet for an awesome night out. The space is cozy and dimly lit and their kitchen is open late so you can continue munching, partying and drinking until the late hours! 


13. Hanmoto

Another late night food spot is this Asian fusion restaurant/bar. They serve insanely good snacks like their famous stuffed wings! Their kitchen is open until 2AM offering the perfect late night spot after a night out at the bars. They also serve cocktails there themselves.

This tropical themed Pan-Asian restaurant is definitely one of the coolest spots in the city to hang out. The interior design is gorgeous, they offer massive tropical tiki drinks and their Pan-Asian/Hawaiian dishes are super unique and delicious!

If you're obsessed with mac n' cheese, and I mean who isn't, then you've got to head over to this spot on Ossington. They specialize in all things cheesy and delicious making massive portions of our childhood favourite that are perfect for take-away.

When you find yourself in downtown Toronto on the hunt for dumplings, there's no better place to go than Mother's Dumplings. This Asian spot does dumplings better than anyone else and they never disappoint!

This craft-your-own pizza shop definitely takes a twist on the typical wood-fired pizza concept. The interior is super cute and your personalized pizzas come in rectangles instead of the usual circles! All their ingredients are fresh and the pizzas are made to order right in front of you.


7. Grey Gardens

If you're looking for more of a fine-dining experience, Grey Gardens is an amazing choice. This up-scale cuisine restaurant is surprisingly located in Kensington Market and serve dishes like oysters, ravioli, duck, beef carpaccio and more!

This Asian-fusion style restaurant is probably one of the best spots in the city, in my opinion at least. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate and the food is bursting with flavours that you've never experienced before! A truly unique dining experience in Toronto. 


5. Adamson Barbecue

This spot serves barbecue galore!! It's an authentic Texas-style barbecue joint that is basically a meat-lovers dream come true. They serve slow-smoked meats and sides by the tray-full here that will leave you feeling stuffed but satisfied.
