Who knew the TD Towers had something other than Canoe?
The building is literally a time capsule. The TD Centre, designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, opened in 1968 and the entire building is protected under the Ontario Heritage Act.
The north half of the 54th floor is like stepping into an episode of Mad Men. A complete contrast from the sleek modern south half which hosts Canoe Restaurant.
The oak boardroom table, wooden slab desks, chairs, and artwork are perfectly preserved, making the whole space one of the best preserved office interiors in Canada.
The aesthetic of the floor is based on the art piece Composition by Jean-Paul Riopelle.
You can have the Mad Men experience May 27th at Doors Open TO.
