Never been to Spain but been itching to go? Barsa Taberna has got you covered. Not only is it a boozy and romantic date spot, but it is also one of Toronto's top restaurants for Spanish tapas and sangria. Owners are from Barcelona and bring a hint of Spanish culture into the bustling city.

The tapas at Barsa are vibrant and flavourful and the chefs are extremely playful in their food presentation. They offer dishes like raw top sirloin, charcuterie platters, 18 month aged ham (drool!) and a variety of fresh seafood.

What's really worth trying though, is their sangria. Voted best sangria in the city year after year, be sure to order a pitcher on Tuesdays, at half price. In fact, they have different half price and $5 drink deals every day of the week!

Not only does Barsa have a great drink selection, but their bar scene is bumpin' too. Around 10:30pm after dinner service, the lights get dimmed, tables are removed and the music is booming. Heck the place is so swanky, they even get proposals in there!
