Toronto Gets New Superhero Themed Restaurant That Will Bring Out The Nerd In All Of Us

Where comics and fine dining go hand in hand.

We don't often associate fine dining with comic books, but a new Toronto restaurant is setting out to change that. Figures is Yorkville's newest hot spot, a chic restaurant where the walls are adorned with the pages of beloved comic books.

Figures is the latest venture by brothers Patrick and Nader Marzouk. The pair are also the owners of Mississauga's &Company Resto Bar.

The decor is decidedly trendy. Designed by Prototype Design Lab, the resto-lounge features a comic-covered lobby which leads to a large restaurant space. The restaurant is decorated with cartoon-inspired artwork by local Toronto artists.

The food at Figures offers fine dining without the fuss. Chef Ron Stratton has designed an inventive seasonal menu that changes regularly. Dishes are divided into sections: earth, sea, and land. The cocktails are equally inventive, such as their "Rarely On Target" cocktail inspired by the Stormtrooper.

Figures is located at 137 Avenue Road.
