There are near endless options of fun things to do in this city, especially for all you action-seekers out there. While playing a round of laser-tag or paintball is fun, let's face it, laser-tag is kinda lame, and paintballs kinda hurt. But archery tag AND drinking... Now there's something we can get behind!

Archery tag combines elements of dodge-ball, paintball, and of course, archery, to give you a one-of-a-kind, action-packed activity. It has been gaining much popularity as of late, thanks to locally-based Archery District that first brought this innovative sport to Canada back in 2014.

With a brand-new, state-of-the-art, 20,000 sq. ft. facility located in Mississauga, equipped with over 100 bows, 100 masks, a range of arrow types (based on pain tolerance), and now a full liquor licence, Archery District is leading the industry and most definitely raising the bar (pun!).

Sessions cost a $25 each, which include 15-minute target practice followed by 50 minutes of gameplay. Once suited up, your bow and foam-tipped arrows in-hand, have formed your battle teams, and have been briefed about rules by professional instructors; the name of the game is full-on tactical combat archery!

Don't worry, the arrows don't really hurt just in case you were wondering. Think of it like getting a bean-bag thrown at you.

Choose from over 10 game modes that are completely unique to Archery District, and owners are even pushing to get archery tag recognized as an official extreme sport with their in-house competitive league. It’s also a great excuse to skip the gym since you can burn up to 400 calories per session. Shoot arrows, burn calories, and grab a drink (Beer $5.50/Wine $4) with friends afterwards? Done.

So whether you want to channel your inner Katniss or Hawkeye, sending a few arrows flying in the direction of your co-workers (without causing any actual harm, of course) is a wicked good time.

Check out the Archery District website and Facebook page for more information and to book your next game.

And if you need even more incentive to go, this coupon lets you buy a drink and get one free!
