I love food, you love food, so why not love food together! This city is blessed with culinary talent, and I for one am going to take full advantage of it.
Admit it, the only reason you go to the gym is so you can feel less guilty about . So this summer, get your stretchy pants out and attend all the food events your tummy can handle.
1. Summerlicious 2015
Summerlicious, one of Toronto's most beloved culinary celebrations! It is carried out for a whopping THREE weeks so you can enjoy Toronto's top 200 restaurant's! Follow Summerlicious on Twitter and keep updated on your favorite restaurant's serving dates.
2. Taste of the Danforth
Celebrated annually, Krino's Taste of the Danforth is said to be the world's biggest Greek food event. Foodies can enjoy the summer sun, mouth watering Greek food and whole boat load of traditional entertainment! It's set in the heart of Greek Town, join the 500,000 visitors along a 2.5 km festival course.
3. Halal Food Fest
A mega celebration of Toronto's best halal restaurants. And trust me, we have a lot. More than 100 food exhibitors will be on the show floor, ready to serve you their unique meals! It's going to be two whole days of food, with live demonstrations, seminars, cooking competitions and performances. Tickets are only five bucks so get em' now!

4. Taste of Toronto: Fort York Food Festival
Get your nomnomnom on with Taste of Toronto! They will be featuring over 50 dishes from Toronto's local chefs and restaurants. Its the ultimate day out companied by interactive classes with amazing chefs, food demonstrations, and wine and beer tastings. What more could you want?
5. Toronto Ribfest
Its the moment every foodie waits for, how can one possibly say no to RIBS?? The Toronto Ribfest celebrates summer with with fabulous food, family-focussed attractions, great music and entertainment on three professional stages, and a Kidz Zone (so you can enjoy your meats without little hinders). Plus, ALL the profits from Toronto Ribfest go via Rotary Etobicoke into supporting community activities and requirements.
6. Bread and Honey Festival
The Bread and Honey Festival is the spot for some good ol' wholesome fun! The event will host a parade, carnival rides, games....and of course, FREE Bread and Honey. Hosted in the Village of Streetsville down by Mississauga.
7. Mac and Cheese Festival
The Mac and Cheese Festival rounds up local chefs across the city to declare new takes on the classic mac and cheese staple. Vendors will be competing for cash prizes with some delicious, heart-clogging cheeseburgers. The admission is FREE and the Liberty Market patios will be open and sunny. There will be some local bands playing, awesome street performers, and drinks flowing all day long.
8. Toronto Taste
This legendary culinary event is turning 25 and wants you to celebrate with them. The savory and scrumptious dishes prepared by Canada's top 50 chefs presented with an array of beverages will be served alongside a breathtaking lakeside view. But best of all, you will be helping those in need by supporting Second Harvest’s food rescue program with each ticket purchased. To-date, Toronto Taste has raised more than $10,300,000 for Second Harvest.
9. Burger Brawl
Enjoy Cupcake Wars or Mater Chef? Toronto is hosting a food competition too. This rumble in the kitchen will feature Chef Eric Wood vs Dennis Tay in a burger showdown. Using secret, local ingredients, the chefs will have 45 minutes to create burgers from scratch, along with 20 minutes for a side dish to be judged before the main event. In addition to the panel of judges, one lucky ticket holder will help judge the chef’s creations. The winner will be crowned Burger Brawl King for the month and the winning dish will be featured at the winning restaurant. Yes, there will be free sampling included in the $15 ticket.

10. AwesTRUCK 2015
AwesTRUCK is Canada’s original food truck festival as a celebration of gourmet street food culture in Toronto. It showcases food trucks across Ontario and local restaurants that have a passion for street food. AwesTRUCK takes it’s inspiration from the successful street food culture and food truck rallies taking place worldwide. The event will be hosted at Mississauga Celebration Square and will be FREE to attend!
