Royal Meats BarBeque // 88 Fort York Blvd
Royal Meats was founded in 1997 and has since been cooking up some delicious BBQ meats, with a large array of sandwiches, burgers and sishkabobs to satisfy all your meat cravings. While one location already exists, it's all the way in Etobs! Their new location (opening Feb 1st) will be smack-dab in the middle downtown Toronto! Yay!
Carver // 101 Peter Street
Many of you have already had a taste of Carver, since they opened last summer as a lunch delivery service...but one taste wasn't enough. Carver is now opening their own sandwich shop that you will definitely want to visit. We've tried Carver via UberEats, and the "ribwhich" will make you feel very, very passionately about a sandwich.

Cafetería// 974 College Street
Tacos? Sold. The newest venture by the Playa Cabana restaurant group is a diner that will have all-day service for brunch, lunch and dinner. There will be a bar area, where no reservation is needed, for those of us interested in grabbing some quick tacos and tortas. And for those of us who need a bit more choice, there is a back room, with a more extensive menu, that takes reservations. We can't wait to check this place out!
From the mastermind that brought us Old School, we bring you RECESS. The project will be based on the lowest level of the ART Condos, and is basically made up of 6 parts: 24-hour Recess Diner, Bar Bronson, the Oven Bakery, a grocery story, and mini bar.
Recess was our favourite part of school, so we're excited to see if this new Toronto spot is just as fun!
Gusto 501 // 501 King Street East
Many of you have probably already frequented Gusto 101 (and if not, you definitely should!), so you'll be glad to know that they are opening a sister restaurant called "Gusto 501". It will feature a Tuscan grill, rotisserie spit, and a wood fired pizza oven... Mmmmm.
Provo Food Bar // 308 Dundas Street West
Little is known about Provo Food Bar for now, other than it's due to open in January 2016... but doesn't that what makes you want to go even more? What once was a former laundromat, has been transformed over the last few months into a beautiful restaurants, or at least from what we can tell from this sneak peak of chalk drawings of famous Toronto spots.
Bankok Buri // Union Station
So you know how Union Station has been in a bit of a disarray due to construction? Something good is about to come of that: The owner of Khao San Road has partnered with the guys at Burger Priest to start a brand new project and the first location of this collabwill be in none other than Union Station!
They are starting a chain of fast-service-Thai-food spots, that will take over Toronto in no time, because who doesn't love some Pad Thai and Tom Yum?
