It's around that time of year again. As we prepare to bid our farewells to 2015, we start to think about our resolutions for the upcoming new year. A few psychotherapists (like this one and this one) are totally against making New Year's resolutions because they believe that all they do for you is set you up for failure. For the most part, I guess that's kind of true - surely, not many of us can safely say that we stay faithful to the goals we set for ourselves.

Maybe the problem is that we reach too high, or our goals aren't interesting enough. Whatever the case, here's a list of resolutions that I think you'll actually be able to keep. They may seem a little typical, but they'll surely improve the quality of your life:


1. Master the TTC and GO transit systems


2. Complete this entire Toronto restaurant bucket list


3. Join unique fitness classes to stay physically active in fun ways


4. Make it a habit to save all your Snapchat stories so you can remember your life as it happened by day


5. Become more aware of Toronto's cultural diversity, starting with these great eats


6. Spend less time on social media and more time actually exploring your city (and the world)


7. Practice smart spending habits by making use of discounts offered by various businesses in Toronto


8. Abandon your Bumble and Tinder apps (to avoid a Toronto dating apocalypse) and just let things happen


9. Let go of bad social habits and rebuild broken friendships and relationships


10. Don't be afraid to share your talents with the world
