Hamilton is home to some seriously mouthwatering desserts. Whether you're a local with a craving or you're just looking to explore what the GTA has to offer, this list is definitely for you.
I have compiled a list of 11 places to take a date in Hamilton that will surely satisfy their sweet tooth. This list covers all your basics including donuts, ice cream, and pretty much everything in between.
And realistically, who can say no to something drowned in chocolate sauce and rainbow sprinkles?!
1. Sprinkles on Top // 39 King Street E.
Sprinkles on Top has crept it's way to the top of my bucket list extremely quickly. From the raving reviews to their drool-worthy Instagram feed, I have made it my mission to try one of their tie dye waffles and wash it down with one of these over the top milkshakes ASAP!
2. Donut Monster // 811 King St E.
Donut Monster takes their baked good to a whole new level. Whether you're looking for something dusted in cookie crumbs, or covered in bacon, they definitely have something that will satisfy your craving.
3. A & J Sugar Bowl // 124 MacNab St N.
There is nothing cuter (and tastier) than splitting one of these decadent waffles with your special someone. Or you could just each get your own, that's pretty cute too.
4. Panini & Ice Cream // 1505 Main St E.
My boyfriend and I tried out Panini & Ice cream this summer, and it definitely did not disappoint. They have endless amounts of toppings, plus they are extremely Instagramable.
5. Bitten on Locke // 219 Locke St S.
Bitten on Locke is the go-to spot for fresh baked goods in Hamilton. They offer lots unique flavour combinations, and are always adding new things to their menu!
6. Mezcal TNT // 150 James St S.
Mezcal TNT isn't just for tacos. If you have not taken a look at their dessert menu, you're seriously missing out. Between flavour packed paletas and extra crispy churros you're sure to be satisfied!
7. Chocolat on James // 123 James St N.
WARNING: do not look at Chocolat on James Instagram feed when you're hungry. This will lead to severe cravings.
8. Cake and Loaf Bakery // 321 Dundurn St S.
It's always hard when you have to come to terms with the fact that a dessert is cuter than you are, and that's the only tough part about going to Cake and Loaf Bakery. This place needs to be added to your dessert bucket list ASAP.
9. DIP // 32 Hess St. S.
DIP takes ice cream to a whole new level with their awesome flavour combinations and out of the box topping ideas.
10. AMO Gelato Cafe // 171 Locke St S.
I don't know if there is a better combination than espresso and gelato, especially when both are from AMO Gelato.
11. Henry Brown's Small Batch Ice Cream // 35 York Blvd.
If you find yourself at the hamilton Farmer's Market, be sure to head to Henry Brown's. They have endless flavours (some of which are vegan) that include ube, pecan butter tart, and cake batter fudge wave.
