12 Markets And Events To Hit Up During The Holiday Season

Goodbye spending weekends at the pumpkin patch, hello super aggressive holiday advertisements and promotions! It’s that time of year again, where Fall begins to fade and the crisp cold air starts blowing in your face. November marks the month of pre-holiday planning and Torontonians mentally preparing ourselves for the coldest time of the year.

But don’t fret, if there is anything to get excited about during the holidays, it’s the numerous Holiday Markets that are about to pop-up near you! Whether you’re hunting for a unique gift for loved ones, want to grab some steals for yourself, or if you just want to get into the holiday spirit – we got you covered. Mark down these dates in your calendar, you don’t want to miss out!

1. Toronto Etsy Street Team at Gibson House Museum

November 12th-13th, join the Gibson House Museum for a market experience of crafts and unique handmade goods. Vendors will be located throughout the house and offering hand-crafted products and demonstrations of their work!


2. Mississauga Christmas Market

For the first time ever, Celebration Square in Mississauga is putting on a pop-up Holiday Street Market! Check out the details here.


3. Downtown Brampton BIA Christmas Market

It’s back! Be sure to check out the 5th Annual Downtown Brampton Christmas Market, on November 18th (4pm-10pm) at Garden Square Brampton. Enjoy a day filled with festive vendors, delicious food, carousel rides, and live entertainment!


4. Toronto Christmas Market

Happening from November 18th – December 22nd, everyone’s favourite holiday market is back at the Distillery District! The market runs Tuesday-Thursday (noon-9pm), Friday (noon-10pm), Saturday (10am-10pm), and Sunday (10am-9pm). Check out this years list of vendors, stop by the beer garden to keep you hydrated all night long.


5. The Trinity Bellwoods Flea – Pre Holiday Market

With over 75 vendors participating in this year’s pre-holiday market, you know you’re guaranteed to find some good grabs. Admission is free and takes place on November 19th-20th at 824 Dundas St. West. There will be food, goods, and even some alcoholic drinks to keep you toasty all weekend long!


6. Toronto Christmas Pet Show

Calling all animal owners and lovers! This is the place for you. On November 19th-20th, be sure to head to The International Centre for this years’ pet show. Filled with vendors, exclusive offers, and even have the chance to take a family photo with Santa. It’s a pet owners holiday miracle.


7. Gladstone Flea – November Market

Make your way over to the Gladstone Hotel on Queen West for this special Fall / Winter Flea Market! If you’re on the lookout for some unique finds, vintage goods, and other market must-haves, this is for you! Did we mention that they’ll be brunch in the café? Mark your calendars for this special edition on November 20th from 10am-4pm.


8. Toronto Art Crawl Christmas Market

Taking place on November 20th from 10am-5pm, don’t miss out on this one-stop-shopping experience to find unique, hand crafted gifts for everyone on your list this year! Located at The Great Hall (1087 Queen Street West).


9. One of a Kind Show & Sale

This marketplace is bringing together markers and buyers who get excited about handmade goods! Check out this Christmas edition of the show from November 24th – December 4th at the Enercare Centre!


10. Pixel & Bristle: Winter Edition

Are you a designer, illustrator, typographer, or just love cool and creative finds? This event is filled with professional products that include prints, cards, gifts, signage, wall art, bags, banners, textiles, mugs, and much more! Taking place at the Drake Hotel on November 26th (10am-4:30pm). Admission is free!


11. Country Christmas Market

Presented by Etsy York Region, this Christmas market will be filled with one-of-a-kind handmade and vintage products from York Region Artisans! Taking place on November 26th from 12:30-6pm at the Elgin West Community Centre.


12. Leslieville Flea Holiday Market

The market takes place on November 27th from 10am – 4pm, and is free to attend for everyone! Located at S.H. Armstrong Community Centre, the market is filled with vendors offering a variety of unique and affordable vintage, handcrafted items! It’s the perfect opportunity to beat the crowd and grab some stocking stuffers before it’s too late.
