Once every summer, Toronto's streets are filled with colorful costumes and the music of the Caribbean. The Scotiabank Toronto Caribbean Carnival, better known as Caribana, is a festival of Caribbean culture and traditions. With our beautiful city bustling with different kinds of people, it is truly lovely to see people of all backgrounds come out to celebrate. This year Caribana weekend took place from Friday July 30th - Sunday August 2nd and was a weekend packed with parties all around the 6, the festival's parade on Saturday, and even Drake's 6th annual OVO fest to end off the long weekend.
While many people are waking up with some terrible hangovers after a fun-filled weekend, it is important to have a few nice momentos of the 2015 festival. The following are a few great snaps from this past weekend to capture the beauty Caribana brings out in our city.
Toronto's police are NOT afraid to have some fun once in a while. C'mon, Toronto has got to have some of the best officers around.

One of the best things about Caribana is the music that fills the air on the parade floats. Here's a snap of Machel Montano, the Trinidadian King of Soca, getting the Saldenah dancers and crowd below moving.

Spotted: Toronto's favorite dancing cop getting down at Caribana this weekend. Milton Ferguson, better known as "Officer Boogie" has been seen various times in the past enjoying busting a move and bringing many smiles to the Toronto community.
Many internet sensations were strutting around the festival this weekend. Among them was a popular social media-ite by the name of Sam White. He is well known for rising up and speaking on various social injustices. And it is also safe to say he collected a bit of a fan base because he is quite a pretty fellow.

Caribana is a place for anyone! No, seriously. To quote the caption of this lovely guy's selfie on Twitter: "I am such a dad. Wore a t-shirt underneath my
@TeamSaldenah costume today. #Caribana2015 #pumpyuhflag." Awesome.

Any Top Model fans here? Toronto's very own spokesmodel Chantelle Winnie hit up the festival this weekend as well, and completely killed it in her outfit.
And Toronto - let's never forget the man who dominated Caribana last year. Oh yes, I'm talking about our former mayor, Mr. Rob Ford.
