It's always fun to meet new people, especially when you're travelling. There are 196 countries in this world and it would be a die for opportunity to explore them all. To understand the culture, to see the people and discover the wonderful things these countries have to offer.

Nothing is impossible, but it would be difficult to make friends in 196 countries. They say you should never burn bridges, why not make them instead? Here's a list of 9 countries you should travel to expand your social circle as much as possible and find the coolest new friends:

1. Thailand

There are so many interactive activities and events to take part in when you travel to Thailand. This makes it the perfect place to make new friends. Meet tigers and elephants in Kanchanaburi, check out the large floating market in Khlong Lat Mayom and of course, plan your trip during the Full Moon Party in Koh Phangan (it happens monthly.) Many people come together from different countries at this extraordinary night long celebration! This is one of the best beach parties in the world that brings together thousands of cultures and makes it easy and interesting to make new friends. You never know who you could meet!


2. Ibiza

Ibiza is part of the Balearic islands on the Mediterranean Sea and is located about 2 hours away from southern Spain. Many people choose to travel to Ibiza during the summer because it is "the" social gathering spot for Europe. The sun shines brighter, the water is bluer and there are no better  boat parties then in Ibiza. There's even an event called Yacht Week, that makes a stop in Ibiza. If you're looking to meet European people, plan a trip to this island and you're guaranteed to make some new friends. P.S many celebrities go to Ibiza, maybe you'll become bff's with JB.


3. Germany

Berlin is one of the greatest cities in Germany to make friends. The capital hosts a variety of booze and food festivals every year that provide a great opportunity to meet new people while drinking the best beer of the world. Several music festivals are also organized around the city and there are numerous attractions to check out in the downtown core that will have you interacting with people in no time.

4. Greece

OPA, how can we not suggest Greece? Greek people are always loads of fun but it's also great travel choice ATM because its economy. Many people are making their way to this beautiful country to explore the culture, traditional food, beaches and the white structures on the hilly city streets. 5. Barbados

Let's be honest, bad gal RiRi proves you can make bad ass friends in Barbados. This country  is carnival central, that is why it's so colourful, charming and full of life. The cultural diversity and the fun spirit within its people is what makes it one of the best countries to make new friends. It's also said to be the birth place of Rum and let us tell you, the rum is never gone. Check out Holetown, that is located on the west coast of the island. There are several clubs and lounges to go to,  but if you'd like to keep it more calm (not sure if that's possible) explore Bridgetown.

 South Africa happens to be one of the most popular destinations on the African continent. Did you know this country has 3 capitals? That sure makes it one of a kind and each city is culturally distinct in its own way. What city do we suggest? Hello Johannesburg! From lively reggae parties to exciting salsa events, Johannesburg has it all. South Africa in general is very multi-cultural, which makes it easy to meet a variety of people with different backgrounds. Don't forget to go on a safari (you'll definitely meet some cool people)  and explore the beautiful nature South Africa has to offer! Who said animals can't be your friends?


7. United States Of America

New York City, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, the list can go on and on. Each city has its own vibe and different people, allowing you to choose the friends you want to meet based on the city you go to. There's plenty of variety in the States with hundreds of festivals, restaurants, sporting events and places for you to go and make an unlimited amount of friends.


8. Netherlands

There is a huge diversity when it comes to people in Netherlands. Most people speak Dutch and English in this country but you will meet people from all around the world. Which city do we suggest? Of course you should go to Amsterdam to make new friends. Amsterdam has a great nightlife scene but you can also meet people there without partying. Chill in a cafe, smoke a j and converse with those around you.


9. Iceland

There's something mystical about this small island, it's the perfect place to get away. The locals are very welcoming and always look forward to meeting visitors. Want to know a fun fact? Most Icelanders believe in elves, isn't that magical? You're guaranteed to meet some cool people on a hike or pub crawl during your travels to Iceland. Don't forget to visit and take a dip in the Blue Lagoon, that is one of the 25 wonders of the world.
