It’s no secret that the people of Toronto love their local craft beer scene. If we had it our way, every single drop of beer consumed in this vibrant city would be a micro brew made with organic ingredients tenderly kissed and caressed by the local brew master. We also wish some of us didn’t have to live on a diet of instant ramen noodles and discounted grocery meat.
The fact of the matter is that those fancy craft beers usually come with a higher price tag, and some of us just want to sip a few cold ones without breaking the bank. It's time to get off your high horse and celebrate the joy of cheap beer by giving these options a shot next time you march over to your local LCBO or Beer Store.
1. Old Style Pilsner
Born in the heart of the prairies, tall boys of this Western Canadian favourite can now be found in many a dingy basement bar throughout the city. This has fast become the new Toronto hipster cheap beer of choice, and not surprisingly given that it's completely drinkable while still being pretty affordable. Plus, Pabst Blue Ribbon is so cliché right?
2. Pabst Blue Ribbon
Wrong! Hipster stereotypes aside, PBR seems to get an overly bad rap for simply being a popular, yet easy on the wallet option. Sure, it may lack complexity in its flavour, and maybe its notes of floral hop character isn't up to some peoples higher standards, but it'll definitely get you where you need to be.

3. Old Vienna
Just Say OV! Who can argue with a tag line like that? Not just for farmers anymore, a 12 pack of Old Vienna bottles is a surprisingly affordable option for the cost of only $18.95. Do yourself a favour and start drinking this exclusively.

You know what? Brava isn't really all that great, but it also isn't really all that terrible either, so it has that going for it. It also comes in a clear bottle, so if you rip off the label you can always try and trick your friends into thinking you're drinking a Mill Street Organic instead.
5. Lucky Lager
Besides being an excellent option for the consumer with an appreciation for alliteration, Lucky Lager is also a pretty passable beer for those of us looking to catch a buzz on a budget. Try your luck and give it a go next time you stop by the store.
6. Old Milwaukee
Old Milwaukee beer features retro inspired pin-up pictures of women on it's tall boy cans, which will let everyone know you drink with an appreciation for the female form. Still not fully convinced? Maybe Will Ferrell can sway your opinion with this powerful commercial spot.
7. Labatt Blue
For whatever reason, our powerful corporate beer overlords have decided that Labatt Blue is a cheaper option than other big name counterparts available such as Molson Canadian or Coors Light. Maybe there is more to the story or maybe this is just a gift from the gods. Either way, drink up before they notice!
8. Cool Beer Lager
The name really just sells itself doesn't it? I mean, I don't really know what else to say that will convince you to drink this beer. The name "cool" is right there in the title. Cool Beer also comes available to purchase in portable mini-kegs for those of you looking to become your very own mobile frat party.
Embrace your inner bohemian lifestyle and start drinking Bohemian beer. For whatever reason, this particular brand seems to only be available from the Beer Store in 24 packs of bottles, so just think of it as an investment towards not having to go back to the Beer Store for a while.

10. Millenium Buzz Hemp Beer
While we're not exactly sure how this beer actually tastes, we do know that it's brewed with actual B.C. hemp. It's also dirt cheap, and at the very least will be sure to impress your one friend who owns way too many Bob Marley posters.
