Do you have a driving test coming up? If so, an important thing to consider is which DriveTest Centre to take your test at.

Google has listed the failure rates for every DriveTest Centre in Ontario. The map divides the DriveTest Centres into three colours:

  • Green = relatively low failure rates
  • Yellow = relatively average failure rates
  • Red = relatively high railure rates

Of course, just because a certain DriveTest Centre has low failure rates, doesn't necessarily mean taking your driving test there will guarantee you a pass.

While many tend to frown upon individuals who actively take their driving tests outside the city, it should be noted that where a person takes his or her driving test is not an all-encompassing reflection of that person's driving prowess. Someone could pass at the hardest DriveTest Centre and still turn out to be a dangerous driver. At the same time, someone could pass at the easiest DriveTest Centre and still turn out to be a good driver.

That being said, according to Google, the DriveTest Centre with the lowest G1 failure rate in Ontario is Kenora, at 7%, while Espanola possesses the lowest G2 failure rate, also at 7%. This is a stark difference from locations like Brampton, which has some of the highest failure rates in Ontario (it has a 53% failure rate for G1 road tests and a 41% failure rate for G2 road tests).
