Furious 7 brought literal tears to our faces and this summer's car events will do just the same (from all the excitement, of course). A few season opener events have already passed, and if you missed those, you definitely can't miss any of these events.

Whether you're into looking at nice cars at shows or spectating action-packed motorsports, we've compiled a list of the best auto events to go to from May through September. Some are located in the GTA and some are a bit of a trek, but they're all definitely events worth going to.

Car enthusiasts, owners, and admirers – get ready for an exciting summer filled with tons of wild events.

1. Ertefa @ Markham Fairgrounds

Ertefa hosts Canada's biggest car meet and show. The first show of the season will be an indoor/outdoor car show, happening on May 21st at the Markham Fairgrounds. All kinds of modified vehicles will be on display for you to enjoy. They actually have a venue now instead of parking lots, so it'll be way more organized this year. There will be a small fee, but it'll 100% be worth it. Keep checking for more details on their website or Facebook page.

2. FITTED Toronto @ Brampton Fairgrounds

FITTED is hosting their 6th annual show this year and it's happening on May 23rd from 12 to 5 P.M. at the Brampton Fairgrounds. General admission tickets are $20 and you can purchase them now! What're you waiting for? Be sure to join their event page if you're attending.

3. CSCS Racing Events

If you're interested in watching actual races, check this out. CSCS is Canada's biggest sport compact racing series, and this is one series of events you will NOT want to miss. There's drifting, drag racing, show and shine, and time attack. Races 1 through 5 are happening on May 24th, July 5th, July 26th, August 16th, and September 20th in various locations outside of the city. Visit their website for more details!

4. BMW TrueNorth @ Hamilton Warplane Museum

The TrueNorth club kicked off their season opener recently, and they're having a show on June 28th at the Hamilton Warplane Museum, where there'll be 250 cars staged outside with warplanes. It's open to the public and everyone is welcome to take photos. (Psst, BMW TrueNorth is currently working on the first Ontario ½ mile run event, a head to head competition, happening hopefully this August. It will be an exciting and HUGE event open to everyone. 5. Honda Indy Toronto @ Exhibition Place

Honda Indy is Ontario’s largest annual sporting event, and it's happening on the streets of the Exhibition Place. It features festival attractions (including craft beer and food trucks), celebrity appearances, live entertainment, and interactive games and activities. Fun 'n games for everyone! It's taking place this year from June 12th to 14th. Two-day general admission tickets are $50, and single-day tickets will be released later – keep checking their website for updates.

6. FITTED Toronto @ Ontario Place

Yet another FITTED event is happening at Ontario Place on August 15th. Registration for those who want to compete opens in June. Just looking at the venue, you know this is going to be major! You're not going to want to miss this.

7. Importfest @ Metro Toronto Convention Centre

They're calling themselves "Canada’s Biggest and Baddest Car Show", so there's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't attend. Importfest presents hundreds of modified cars from all over North America. There will be automotive exhibitors and manufacturers and live performances. Importfest is only happening for one day on Saturday, August 22nd from noon until midnight at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Also, they're celebrating their 15th anniversary this year – tickets are available now on their website!

8. Nextmod Car Meets

Nextmod hosts various car meets in their Markham parking lot (FRS meets, etc.) You can follow their Instagram to catch all their meet-up announcements. The meets go on until September, so there will be plenty! Don't be shy – they're really awesome and friendly people.

9. BMW TrueNorth Season End BBQ Meet

Come one, come all. In September, BMW TrueNorth will be hosting a huge end-of-season BBQ meet open to everyone. It's going to be an exciting event featuring a show and shine with trophies, models, and awesome raffle ticket prizes. Also, a charity grand prize of a $5000 all-inclusive trip for two will be given out to one lucky winner. It's gon' be a good one!
