1. The Location
Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, Ryerson University is within walking distance of several restaurants, cafes, the Toronto Eaton Centre, and a short subway ride to some of Toronto’s best attractions. Ryerson students are in the middle of it all.
2. The Amazing and Unique Programs
With programs like Sport Media, Journalism, Nutrition and food, Ryerson offers programs that other universities’ in Toronto don’t. Also, Ryerson is home to the Ted Rogers School of Management, a top quality business school.
3. The Student Groups and Associations
Whether you’re looking to join an educational, cultural, social or philanthropy group, Ryerson has you covered.
Here are a few of my favourites:
• Students for Mental Awareness, Support, and Health (SMASH)
• Ryerson University Students for Wishes
• Ryerson Sports and Business Association
• Ryerson Commerce Society
4. The Athletics and Recreation
Ryerson has two great fitness and athletic facilities available for students – the Recreation and Athletics Centre (RAC) and Mattamy Athletic Centre (MAC). Ryerson also has varsity and intramural sports teams for students to join. There is no excuse for Ryerson students not to be fit.
5. The Student Learning Centre
In February 2015, Ryerson opened the Student Learning Centre (SLC). The Student Learning Centre provides students with study space and other learning facilities. SLC is eight-story’s high and has fun themed floors like “The Beach.” No other university in Toronto has an astonishing building like this.
