If the Toronto Christmas Market is your favourite event of year, you're in luck. The same team that organizes the popular holiday attraction in the Distillery District is back with a giant festival of lights starting later this month.
From January 27th to March 12th, the Distillery District will become home to 17 light installations created by 14 different artists. Admission to the festival is free, and the installations will be spread out throughout the historic neighbourhood.
Speaking to the Daily Hive, the festival's organizer Mathew Rosenblatt explained the motivation behind the event.“We wanted to shift the negativity you hear about in January and February and let people look at the cold and the night in a different way," he said.
