Photo cred - The Source
Toronto loves Drake, and he loves us right back. He already had one Toronto themed tattoo on his calf, but hes decided to double down. He's removed the tattoo on his leg, replacing it with one of an eye, and got some new ink on the inside of his forearm: an artistic rendering of the CN Tower. Here's why this decision shows just how devoted he is to our city:
- Moving the tat from his leg to his arm gives it way more exposure
Drizzy wears a lot of short sleeve shirts. Not that many shorts. Tons more people are going to see this tat everywhere he goes.
- The CN Tower has become a universal symbol for Toronto
There's no denying that the subject of this tattoo is his home town. Drake is arguably more famous than Toronto, and this tattoo puts the city on the map.
- Tattoos are pretty damn permanent
Unlike an Instagram photo, or a Facebook status, a tattoo is something people are going to look at all day every day. There's no escaping Drake's love for Toronto.
- Tattoos hurt
It may not be the most painful thing in the world to get ink, but undergoing any amount of pain just to show the world that you love your city is pretty dope.
- The art is beautiful
Not only is it a tattoo of the CN Tower, but it's a beautifully imagined rendering of the CN Tower, showing Toronto in the best possible light.
