After a number of emails to the CEO and a year of anticipation T&T Supermarkets, the popular authentic Asian food and beauty retailer is opening their eighth GTA location this week.
The newest store is in Aurora, ON, about an hour north of Toronto. It is newly built from the ground up and will officially be opening it's doors this Thursday, on November 1st.
To celebrate their grand opening, the retailer is hosting a massive event. They are inviting locals to come to the store at 10 AM on opening day to take advantage of some amazing deals. On top of that, they are reportedly having some giveaways as well.
The deals include all sorts of products from produce to household appliances. For example, you can get an entire bag of avocados for only $1.99 or a high tech rice cooker for less than $100.
The supermarket comes north of Toronto based on popular demand. According to T&T CEO Tina Lee, residents were so desperate to have a location in Aurora that they had begun emailing her directly. She also said the new location would attract both Chinese Canadians in the area and also other Asian food enthusiasts.
The Asian supermarket, which has 25 locations across Canada mostly in BC, is growing in popularity in Ontario. The announcement of another new location in the Kitchener/Waterloo area opening around the same time as the Aurora location was met with just as much enthusiasm.
The new store is 30,000 square feet and features all the T&T features customers have come to love. They will have over 30 kinds of produce, enough fish tanks to fill a pool, hundreds of other products, and a self-serve hot table for people looking to grab a quick bite to eat.
The grand opening event starts at 10 AM on November 1st. The store is located at the corner of Bayview and St. John's in Aurora, Ontario.
