More and more these days, it seems like random shootings are all we ever hear about in Canadian news.
Yesterday, another of these incidents occurred in a truly terrifying way on one of the busiest highways in Ontario.
Here’s everything we know about the incident.
According to police, three people were in a vehicle travelling on Highway 403 on the night of August 26th. They were approaching an eastbound ramp to the 401 in Mississauga when suddenly the passengers in the car driving next to them started to spray their car with gunfire.
Two of the three people were hit and wounded in the shooting.
As you can see in the Twitter photos below, the car was hit by multiple bullets during the incident.

The driver, who was one of the two wounded in the shooting, managed to keep his vehicle under control, despite his injuries. He immediately drove himself and his passengers to Etobicoke General Hospital.
A 32-year-old man and a 43-year-old man were injured due to the gunfire, a female passenger in the car was unharmed.
One of the men injured had to be taken to a trauma centre in Toronto, but the injuries were not considered life-threatening.
