Nothing is more annoying than a delayed flight. But gather up a bunch of Newfoundlanders and your delayed flight becomes that much bearable! It is a well known fact that Canadians can make friends with just about anywhere they go. A fact less known is that they can turn just about any situation into a party- and that is exactly what happened.
A WestJet flight from Toronto's Pearson Airport to St. John's was delayed by just over 30 mins (okay, so not the biggest delay, but annoying still) and instead of sitting around and being miserable about it, these NFLDers had the time of their life...by starting an impromptu karaoke!
Bring in the accordion and guitar, a group of singers and you have a classic NFLD kitchen party. According to the guitarist, Sean Sullivan, this isn't new to them. In fact, livley accordion player Sheldon is notorious for striking up a conversation with anyone, paring it with his accordion.
This wasn't just an affair for the old guns, the young ones also showed off their talents, particularly 10 year old Liam Corrigan who proudly stood at the front.
The video of the group has since gone viral, posted by Facebook user Michelle Philpott. By the time the flight was up and running and landed in St.John's, the video had hundreds of thousands of views.
