Toronto traffic was disrupted this morning by a crazy vehicle fire on Bloor St.
A pickup truck was ablaze in the intersection of Bloor and Armadale in Old Toronto in the west end of the city.
The truck burned in the middle of the intersection blocking traffic from all directions. People online shared concerns about the accident but also many shared that their first instincts were to worry about the Beer Store truck which is seen in the video. Despite concerns, the truck was not involved in the incident.
Toronto Fire services were called to the scene around 9:30 AM and fought the blaze which engulfed the entire front end of the truck. The damage looks pretty intensive, with the entire hood being burned away.
It is not clear what caused the fire this morning but the video indicates that it began under the hood of the vehicle. There are a number of things that could cause a truck to catch on fire, from overheating, a short circuit, or a fuel leak. Most vehicle fires begin in the car's engine.

This week has been bad for vehicles in this neighbourhood of Toronto as just yesterday another car collided with a hydro pole just around the corner at Bloor and Jane.
