Toronto Police are alerting the public this morning of a string of robberies that occurred overnight across the west end of Toronto and the GTA. Police say that a group of males, who remain at large, robbed several businesses on Wednesday night and into the early morning.
Police have issued a public safety advisory in the Toronto, Halton and Peel Regions until the suspects are in police custody. Police say that convenience stores and gas stations in the regions were targeted.
Police also say that the suspects were armed with guns, and allegedly used them in the robberies. The suspects fled in cars, but descriptions of the vehicles have not yet been released.
According to CP24, a robbery was reported in Mississauga just before 11:00 PM, at Hurontario Street and Harborn Road. Later in the night, police were notified of a robbery in Oakville.
