A TTC Bus Crashed Into A Hydro Pole In Toronto And 27 People Have Been Sent To Hospital
The bus collided with a hydro pole at Bathurst Street and Davenport Road in Toronto.
On Wednesday afternoon a public bus in Toronto collided with a hydro pole around Bathurst Street and Davenport Road, nearby Casa Loma. It's been reported that 27 people were taken to hospital as a result of the collision.
According to the Toronto Police Twitter account, the collision occurred just after 3:00 PM. Both paramedics and police officers were sent to the scene.
Toronto Police are estimating that around 30 people were on board the bus at the time of the collision. Three of the 27 people taken to the hospital were taken in ambulances, the other 24 were sent to the hospital after boarding a new bus with non-life threatening injuries.
Due to the collision, there is a power outage in the area so the hydro pole may be repaired, including the traffic lights nearby. Certain areas of the street have also been closed, so you may need to take a detour home from work.
At this time there is no exact explanation as to what caused the TTC bus to crash into the hydro pole.
