All Eastbound 401 Lanes Blocked In Mississauga After Two Serious Accidents In A Row
You'll probably have to take a different route.
One collision after the other is keeping all lanes closed on the eastbound Highway 401 in Mississauga. As of now, the eastbound highway is closed from Trafalgar Rd. to Highway 407.
ICYMI: EB 401 remains CLOSED from Trafalgar to the 407 for a collision. WB also blocked at the 407 for an air ambulance.— 680 NEWS Traffic (@680NEWStraffic) April 19, 2018
The first accident happened early this morning, involving two cars and three transport trucks near the Winston Churchill Blvd. off ramp. Three people were taken to hospital, but no serious injuries were reported.
Just as a single eastbound lane was reopened at around 9:00 AM, another serious crash at Trafalgar Rd. between two transport trucks has all lanes closed again. Part of the westbound 401 was closed as well to make way for an air ambulance, but has since been reopened. One driver in the second accident has serious injuries.

For drivers heading in this direction, prepare to take an alternate route. Based on the severity of both accidents, Trafalgar Rd. to Highway 407 will most likely stay closed for several hours.
