Calling all vegans. Have you ever been to Oktoberfest to realize you can't eat any of the food? Well, this is your time to shine.
This Friday, October 13th (spooky), Toronto will be holding a Vegan Oktoberfest for those who feel like they miss out on the delicious food that Oktoberfest usually serves. Hosted by VegHeads and Toronto Vegetarian Food Bank, this event is one of a kind.
This German festival that happens all around the world from mid-September to mid-October is finally making waves by also adding vegan events. The main dishes at Oktoberfest usually consist of pretzels, schnitzel, sausages, and of course, beer. Vegan Oktoberfest consists of all of those same things, but made a little bit differently.
The pretzels are gluten-free and come with VegHeads cheese sauce, and the vegan schnitzel and black eyed pea sausages will make your mouth water. And of course, they'll be serving beer but if you're more into that #healthylifestyle, then you can sip on some kombucha. This is an event that every vegan in Toronto cannot miss.
Vegan Oktoberfest will be held at the Lithuanian House, which is located at 1573 Bloor St W. The event runs from 7 pm to 2 am, and tickets are $20 each which you can purchase here. For more information on the event, click here.
The event last year was sold out, so hurry and get your tickets! You won't want to miss out on this opportunity to try unique Oktoberfest options. And an excuse to drink beer.
