Hamilton Police are currently searching for an Ontario man after he fired multiple shots at a vehicle early yesterday morning. The incident occurred around 5:45 AM on Wednesday, February 13 in Hamilton when two cars were both driving eastbound. In a crazy fit of road rage, the Ontario man's car pulled up to another car before firing multiple gunshots at it and speeding away.
Both the suspect and victim's cars were driving eastbound on Highway 403, just east of Brantford when the victim first noticed an aggressive driver behind him. The victim told Hamilton Police that the suspect first began to aggressively tailgate behind his car, before passing him.
At this point, the suspect sped past the car in a fit of rage before slowing down to get alongside the vehicle. The suspect, who was operating the vehicle, revealed a firearm and shot multiple rounds into the victim's vehicle before speeding away.
After the shots had been fired, the victim, who was uninjured followed the suspect in attempts to get his license plate number. However, the suspect soon realized that the victim was following him and stopped his vehicle before exiting and firing several more shots towards the victim.
Again, the victim was uninjured and quickly fled the scene before contacting Hamilton police.
Hamilton Police have now issued a news release that is asking for the public assistance in finding the suspect who shot multiple rounds at the victim's car. He is said to be a 6'2" ft. male with light brown skin and weighing around 200 lbs. He was last seen in a dark toque, jacket, and boots.
The vehicle that the suspect was driving at that time is a newer model, 4 door car in a dark grey colour. If you think you have located the suspect, the Hamilton Police are asking you not to approach him and call 911.
