Bruce McArthur Barely Reacts To Heartbreaking Victim Statements And Details Of His Murders In Court

Bruce McArthur stared blankly at the families of his victims at his sentencing hearing.

It was crystal clear on Monday morning exactly how little remorse Bruce McArthur felt for committing his horrible crimes. It appeared as though he didn’t feel anything at all. Bruce McArthur stood emotionless at his sentencing hearing on Monday as the friends and families of his victims read heart-wrenching statements about their loved ones, in the hopes of making McArthur share in their suffering.

The largest outpour of statements came from those closest to McArthur’s final victim, 49-year old Andrew Kinsman. According to The Star, Kinsman had close ties to Toronto’s gay community. His alert nature eventually led to the killer’s arrest.

“I felt contempt at the hubris of a murderer thinking that Andrew, our beloved community pollinator, could be vanished without consequence,” detailed Kinsman's friend Meaghan Marian.

Kinsman had made a little note on his calendar the day of his disappearance, a reminder that read “Bruce” - this small act is what ultimately led police to McArthur. The disturbing details of the crimes themselves were so graphic that many in-court reporters issued warnings to their followers on Twitter to “mute” their threads to avoid being updated on the grisly nature of the case.

McArthur bound his victims before strangling them. He would then shave them, dress their bodies in fur coats and shove cigarettes in their mouths. He made a mockery out of his victim’s remains for his own twisted pleasure.
