Toronto is one of the biggest cities in Canada and now the biggest city is known for something else big as well. Canada's largest pizza ever was just made at a local Toronto restaurant. The restaurant in question is Frank's Pizza House and the giant pizza is the result of an Instagram challenge.
Frank's Pizza House is located on St. Clair West in Toronto. It's owned by Giorgio Taverniti. He was challenged by Canadian model and Instagram star Joel Hansen, who regularly takes on giant food challenges on his account Model vs Food. He called on Frank's Pizza House to make Toronto's biggest pizza but they ended up topping that record and making Canada's biggest as well.
According to Hansen, the pizza they ended up making was over 26 pounds. Hansen also claimed on his Instagram that this makes it the biggest in all of Canada. Despite calling for the creation of the pizza, Hansen didn't end up eating it all by himself, like he often does on his account. Instead, he said on Instagram that he was just helping inspire so big menu items.
There is good news along with that though. Since the pizza wasn't for a challenge for Hansen that means it's actually a new menu item at Frank's.
If you want to take on the challenge of the massive 26-pound pizza, which has since been dubbed the 416 pizza, then you actually can.
All you have to do is give Frank's at least 24-hours notice and they will be happy to make up a massive pizza just for you. It comes with a big price tag though, the massive pizza will set you back $130.
Before you think about placing an order though, you have to know what you're getting yourself into. The pizza weighs 26 pounds, which is heavier than an average bowling ball or four times heavier than a brick.
The pizza also is about 2.75 feet by 3.6 feet big, which is the length of a small child.
This wouldn't be the first record Joel Hansen has claimed to beat. The model also says he holds the unofficial record for most donair's eaten.
