The best Christmas movie ever - a.k.a. Elf - isn't on Netflix Canada. But that doesn't mean you can't watch it this holiday season. In fact, if you're in Toronto, you can actually catch Elf on the big screen for free this evening.
The Christmas classic will be shown tonight in Toronto at a free movie screening event by The Royal Cinema in Little Italy. The Elf showing is part of their monthly Free Flick Mondays.
If you want to kick off your holidays in the best way possible by watching Elf for free, you can head down to the Royal Cinema on College Street near Bathurst tonight. The showing starts at 7:30 PM, but there is a good reason to get there early.
The first 100 people at the event will get free popcorn to enjoy with their film. There is also going to be a pre-show for the event and audience members can when prizes.
Elf, which came out 15 years ago in 2003, is one of the most iconic Christmas movies. The Will Ferrel flick even has a score of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is pretty respectable.
Doors for the free event open to the public at 7:15 PM. Tickets aren't required to get in, but they are the only way to guarantee your spot at the showing since seating is limited.
Although unofficial, the real rating of the movie comes from Twitter. People there cannot seem to get enough of Elf, calling it the best Christmas movie of all time. Even celebrities agree.
