Moviegoers in Toronto now have a new way to watch films with the opening of Cineplex's 4DX theatre.

4DX is an immersive movie experience that includes everything from moving chairs to special effects like water, rain, fog, wind, air, bubbles, snow, and scents. Such effects are synchronized to the movie to simulate an out-of-seat experience.

Admission prices are rather expensive - regular adult tickets will sell for $$21.99 each if the film is in 2D, and $29.99 each if the film is in 3D. But it may still be worth it for those seeking a unique way to go for movies.

The Cineplex 4DX theatre will only be available at Yonge and Dundas. Popular movies will be available in the new format, including the recent blockbuster hit Doctor Strange.
