Costco Canada Is Opening A Massive New Store In Toronto Next Week And Launches A New Delivery Service In Ontario
Looks like it's time to renew your Costco membership!
Costco is every bargain shoppers dream come true. With a giant selection of just about anything you can imagine and coupons galore, shopping at a Costco warehouse can you save you a ton of money in the long run.
While Costco has over 16 locations in Ontario, Torontonians still do not have a warehouse within the downtown area. The closest locations would require a trip out to North York, Mississauga or Scarborough, which isn't exactly easy unless you own a car.

Well lucky for us, there will finally be a new Costco opening up in Toronto's east end next week in Thorncliffe Park. The new warehouse will be located nearby East York Town Centre, just on Overlea Blvd.
Not only will the store be accessible for those who live in Toronto and the GTA, it is also going to be massive!
The reason the store will be so big? It's actually being built out of the old Coca-Cola plant and head office! After the company moved buildings in the summer of 2013, the offices sat empty until Costco bought out their land to build their new store.
The warehouse is planned to provide more than 150 jobs to the city and allow many more people access to the exclusive deals and benefits that come with a Costco membership.
The opening is officially on July 24 at 8:00 AM, with a special giveaway exclusively from Coca-Cola. Even Kathleen Wynne will be there as MPP for Don Valley West!
The opening is timely because Costco just announced that they will be introducing grocery delivery in Ontario today. So even if you're not close to the new Toronto store, people across southern Ontario and the GTA will be able to get weekly groceries right to their doorstep.
There is one catch to delivery. Only non-perishable food items will be available for delivery, so you will need to visit the store to get fresh veggies, meats, or baked goods!
Not everyone is happy about this new addition though, some residents in the area are concerned with how a new Costco could affect traffic. Luckily, the warehouse listened and actually changed their exit and entrance plans.
Happy shopping Toronto, we will see you in line for a $1.50 hotdog and a jumbo-sized tub of peanut butter.
