Doug Ford's Team Literally Paid People To Show Up To A Rally

This is not a good thing to do.

Politics is a tough game to play. you don’t have to be a politician to know that. Over the years numerous politicians have been accused of fighting dirty, either with the things they say, or with the way they run their campaign.

Today Ontario PC leader Doug Ford is the latest to be accused of dirty tricks in his campaign.

Last night was the first debate between his party, the Liberals and the NDP leading up to this years election and a rally was held in support of Ford, but not all the people there showed up simply to support the PC leader.

Apparently some of the people there had been paid by Tory candidate Meredith Cartwright, a prominent lawyer, to show up.

Doug Ford claims that he had no idea that this was happening, “that’s the first I’ve heard of it,” he said today.

He says that he’s going to get to the bottom of exactly what when on, “I can assure you I’ll be calling Meredith to ask what’s going on.”

According to the Toronto Star the casting agency CastmeBG reportedly sent out an email saying they were looking for, “20 people to play real people at a Ford nation rally (Doug Ford).”

The email reportedly went on to say that, “You will be wear T-shirts of the PC candidates (Ford and Cartwright).”

PC party officials that the practice of hiring people to attend rallies, “won’t be continuing.”

Welcome to election season Ontario.

This probably won’t be the last political scandal you hear about before the election on June 7.
