It actually shocked me to learn that there is fee to get into Ontario's Provincial Parks. Granted, a walk in fee is only $1, but still, if you drive you can expect to pay anywhere $11 - $20, which is equally as ridiculous.

Not everyone can afford to pay to get in to a park, even if it is only a dollar. Well, on July 17th you won't have to worry about the cash. As a part of the Healthy Parks, Healthy People organization, July 17th will see free admission to all Ontario provincial parks, in order to promote fit living.

On top of free admission, there will also be free events including "guided mine hike at Murphys Point Provincial Park, and yoga at Quetico Provincial Park and on the beach at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park."
