Finally some good news on this grey and rainy day, GO transit and the Ontario Ministry of Transportation has announced that they'll be getting wifi added to their fleet of trains and buses that span the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
As it stands, wifi is available as all GO Train stations and terminals but up until this point we haven't been able to access it while actually commuting.
Metrolinx will be testing out their wifi services in March on a select few trains and busses. The goal is to figure out the service quality and get feedback from riders.
When asked when all transit vehicles can expect to get full wi-fi access, the answer was that eventually the wifi reach will expand to all GO vehicles- however there's no concrete date set.
