Rapper Gucci Mane is finally heading to Canada. Starting on June 15th, Gucci Mane will perform ten shows in Canada on a short tour that will take him across most of the country. Alberta, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, and British Columbia are all expected to receive some love from the artist during the tour, despite the fact that Mane will spend the overwhelming majority of his time in Ontario with almost half the tour taking place there.
Notably missing from Mane’s tour schedule is a Toronto date, with the rapper choosing instead to play the nearby cities of London and Oshawa. It is not uncommon for performers to skip the 6ix in favour of performing shows in less populated areas due to schedule conflicts. However, it’s always so disappointing when they do.
Mane will be supported by a host of great openers on his new tour with August Alsina, Merkules and Peter Jackson all set to join the rapper on his first Canadian adventure.
Mane will be supporting his latest album Evil Genius on the tour which he released back December 7th of 2018. The album received a positive response from critics, particularly with NME who gave the album a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars. “The Atlanta trap legend completes his transformation into a shimmering superstar with this taut and breathtakingly honest record,” reads the opening line from the review.
Mane is no stranger to controversy, starting multiple feuds with his fellow rappers, most notably his former collaborator Waka Flocka Flame back in 2013 due to an alleged breach of contract. Mane also made headlines back in 2013 after he sent numerous derogatory tweets towards other rapper’s girlfriends, suggesting that he had sexual relationships with them.
Tickets are scheduled to go on sale March 15th. Those looking to buy tickets should keep an eye out for any presale information by following Mane on Twitter.
