Today, a woman dangling over Niagara Falls in a hoola hoop caused quite the stir among tourists. The woman, Erendira Wallenda, is the wife of a high-wire artist Nik Wallenda, who famously walked across 550 metres of the Niagara Falls on a tightrope five years ago.
Tethered to a safety wire, Wallenda performed a series of acrobatic moves on the hoola hoop before hanging from the device using only her teeth.
Wallenda told the Toronto Star that she felt inspired by her husband's previous stunt at the falls. “As an artist and a daredevil I guess, there is something abut it, something almost magical that draws you to it,” she said.
