Are you tired of watching your 'fitter' friends train for marathons, while the only exercise you've been getting lately is walking to the bar? If you answered yes, then we've found a run that's perfect for you.
On September 17, the Great Canadian Beer Run returns to Toronto, uniting beer lovers and runners once and for all.
Participants can enjoy a 5 KM fun run/walk (costumes are seriously encouraged) around Ontario Place, followed by a Craft Beer & Food Festival, complete with live entertainment and all the beer samples you can imagine.
Picture this: crossing the finish line and relaxing in a Muskoka chair with a pint (or two) with your friends. Nothing gets much better than that.
Not a beer drinker? No problem! Cider and vodka cocktails will also be available, as well as delicious food from some of Toronto’s most sought-after food trucks.
Registration costs $69 and includes a race kit and shirt, entrance into the festival, a collectible beer stein (Oktoberfest is coming up people), and four beer/beverage chips. If running seriously isn't your thing, festival passes are also available for $25.
Remember, the real fun happens once you cross the finish line.
