Get your taste buds ready - IKEA Canada is opening a pop-up space in Downtown Toronto this week that will focus mainly on their food products. The Swedish company intends to showcase unique food innovations that challenge conventional expectations.
The pop-up space will be located at 363 King St W and will run open between May 13 and 26. The venue will run food sampling, interactive learning sessions with George Brown Culinary students, and, naturally, furniture sales (with an emphasis on kitchen items).
We can expect everything from meatball karts to veggie balls and pick-&-mix candy.
Stefan Sjöstrand, IKEA Canada President, released this statement:
At IKEA, our vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people, and our commitment to food is an extension of this. As a home furnishings retailer, we're known for pushing boundaries and trying new things and we take the same approach with our food. We want to give consumers the opportunity to think about food differently and this interactive Pop-up Experience showcases how innovative IKEA is while challenging consumers to #StartFooding in a way that's healthy, fun and affordable.
