With all the stress of traffic and congestion hitting Toronto for the Pan Am Games, there is a shining beacon of hope. The all-mighty LCBO, the reigning king of alcohol distribution in Ontario, has answered to the call of duty and has now extended their hours in 3 major downtown locations effective immediately.
The people of Toronto have been heard. Keeley Rogers, Media Relations Coordinator for the LCBO, told us that the liquor commission had noticed higher traffic volumes in the King & Spadina location as well as at Queen's Quay so when the Pan Am Games were coming to Toronto the company saw it as the perfect opportunity to extend the hours.
Contrary to several reports the Queens Quay and King St locations will remain with these extended hours permanently. Meanwhile, the Maple Leaf Gardens location will have the new hours in effect until July 26th.
Maple Leaf Gardens: Monday – Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (until July 26th)
Queens Quay: Monday - Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
King St. & Spadina Ave: Monday - Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday - Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
This is god answering our prayers, Toronto! Cheers to that.
