Jollibee, the highly-anticipated Filipino fast food restaurant, is now set to open at Mississauga's new Seafood City in early 2018.
Previous reports anticipated the opening date to be sometime this fall. However, a new update on the Heartland Town Centre website announced that Jollibee will arrive a few weeks after the opening of Seafood City, which occurred just this past weekend.
Jollibee, which is known as the "McDonalds of the Philippines", is a widely-popular fast food chain among Filipinos. The company opened its first Canadian chain in Winnipeg back in 2016, and is looking to open two locations in the GTA.
No updates have been given on when the second location in Scarborough will officially open; however, developer Rio Can has released an updated map of Kennedy Commons which shows the future location of the store.
