Minimum Wage Is Going Up To $15 An Hour In Ontario And Here's When

It's official.

This morning, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne announced a plan to increase the provincial minimum wage to $15 an hour. She expects to have the plan rolled out by 2019. 

Minimum wage will increase gradually over the next 18 months, rising to $14 an hour in 2018 and then to $15 in January, 2019. 

Currently, Ontario's minimum wage is $11.40 an hour, meaning workers will see a $2.6 increase within the next year alone.
