It's almost here! Niagara Falls' newest upcoming attraction is the Niagara Speedway - a go-kart race track on steroids that will let you live out your ultimate Mario Kart Fantasies.
It's the largest elevated go-kart track in North America and the first of its kind in Canada. The race track was built as part of a 10-acre redevelopment project that started almost two years ago with the destruction of the Comfort Inn along the Clifton Hill strip. Just today, Clifton Hill released a sneak peak of the first-ever trial run on the race track:
As the video demonstrates, go-kart riders will have to maneuver hair-pin turns, climb an elevated spiral, and speed down an epic downhill towards the checkered flag. Testing will continue until the end of this month, and the race track will shut down for the winter to prepare for the upcoming year.
Clifton Hill has officially announced that the race track will officially be opening in the spring of 2018, as soon as the weather breaks. An exact date will be announced as we get closer to the opening.
