Ontario Man Sets Fire To An Office Near Toronto In An Attempt To Blow It Up (VIDEO)

York Regional Police searching suspect who tried to blow up an office in Vaughan, Ontario.

York Regional Police released intense footage this morning of an Ontario man attempting to blow up an office in Vaughan by setting a massive fire to it. Police are now searching for the suspect and asking the public for help in identifying him.

The incident took place at around 2:00 AM on January 7th at 3550 Rutherford Rd in Vaughan, Ontario, according to the police. Almost a month later, the suspect has still not been identified. Now, York police are calling on the public for their help looking for the person who started the alarming fire.

The police posted the video footage of the incident on their Twitter page this morning. "ARSON CAUGHT ON CAMERA - We need your help to ID this suspect who tried to blow up an office in Vaughan," reads the tweet. "Occurred at 3550 Rutherford Rd on Jan 7, 2019, shortly before 2am. The plate on the suspect vehicle was stolen".

The video shows a man getting out of his white car in a parking lot, and opening a trunk that is full of explosives. The suspect then throws something at the glass door to the office, which shatters immediately on impact.

The man then sets up and lights a bomb right behind the office doors, causing a massive fire to break out. He drives away from the scene as the fire continues to grow.

According to the news release from York Regional Police, no one was hurt by the fire. Investigators found that there was a strong smell of gasoline coming from inside the office. Police are now asking the public to help identify the suspect. "This investigation is ongoing," reads the news release.
