Your childhood memories are about to make a comeback, because Toronto's favourite park on the waterfront is set to make its grand return this summer.
According to the Ontario Place Corporation's business plan for 2016 to 2018, revitalization projects are set to be completed by July 1 of this year in time to hold festivities for Canada's 150th birthday. Of these include the East Island Festival Place, the Urban Park and Trail and the iconic Cinesphere, which have been under construction over the past few years.
While the park will no longer include children's amusement rides as it did in times past, it will still see great updates in the form of romantic gardens, boardwalks, pavilions, bluffs and beaches, intimate spaces for concerts, venues for large-scale music festivals, and much more.
