Food in Canada is very precious to Canadians. Whether it is poutine, maple syrup, or ketchup flavoured chips, some parts of Canada just cannot be found in other countries.
One Redditor went online and asked if Canadians believed American food was better than the grub from our home and native land. The user is staying in America currently and had been missing out on some food that they can only find at home.
The user called Canadian food "totally superior to American food", which many have pointed out as a bold statement. Considering the USA's relaxed food regulations, there are many options that Canadians cannot get past the border.
Some users pointed out that while we may also have the same products, they're not necessarily made in the exact same way.
Another commenter went on to explain why the difference in food quality exists between Canada and the US. Some others shared how they can never get used to the difference.
While everyone had fair points as to why they believed Canadians are probably biased to the food they grew up around, one user came through with the proof that Canadian food is really the best food.
America you can keep your various flavours and delicious treats. We will be up North pouring maple syrup on everything and enjoying our Kinder Egg for dessert.
