Summer's almost here in Toronto, and you know what that means... PRIDE TORONTO! It's one of the biggest and greatest events the city has to offer. There is an estimated 1.2 million people who attend every year. Madness, right!
Pride Toronto celebrates the city's LGBTTIQQ2SA communities*. In 2014, Toronto hosted WorldPride and it was pretty freaking amazing. It's a completely different experience when people come from all over the world to be part of our parade, but it's no less wonderful when it's just Toronto.
The festival is happening June 19th to 28th this year. There's a whole bunch of events happening during the festival, including the annual Church-Wellesley Streetfair (June 26th to 28th). The Trans* Pride March will be happening Friday, June 26th and the Pride Parade will be happening on Sunday, June 28th. If you want to take part in the festival, click here to volunteer or donate.
