One of Canada’s most prominent stars, Sarah McLachlan, is coming to Toronto this summer to give fans a once in a lifetime experience. McLachlan, accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra, is set to perform at Budweiser stage on July 29th. Tickets for the event will go on sale this week, at 10:00 AM on March 7th.
News of McLachlan's exciting new tour dates comes on the heels of the recent announcement that she will be hosting the 2019 Juno Awards which will be held London, Ontario this year.
"I'm humbled I've been asked to host the 48th annual Juno Awards," McLachlan said in a statement to CBC "I know intimately what it feels like to be on the Juno stage, and I feel truly blessed to play a new role for an organization that has supported me throughout my career."
As excited as McLachlan was to book the gig, it seemed those behind the scenes at Juno couldn’t be happier that she came onboard.
"Sarah is perfect to host our show," gushed Allan Reid, who is the president and CEO of CARAS and the Juno Awards in a testimonial on singer's website. “It has been a privilege to watch Sarah's career soar over the last three decades. She is a powerful force within the music industry and beyond, and we're thrilled to have her on board to help us deliver another unforgettable Juno Awards."
The Canadian Music Hall of Fame inducted McLachlan back in 2017 during the Junos; she has sold over 40 million albums since launching her career over 30 years ago.
