The Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino wasn't short of controversy. Even if the hyped blue and pink drink was only on Starbucks shelves for a few short days, the drink is now subject of a lawsuit, and it's not for a reason you'd expect.
A Brooklyn coffeeshop called The End is suing the coffee conglomerate for stealing their own unicorn latte which they allegedly had been making since December 2016. The End is demanding not only a public apology in their lawsuit, but also a huge slump of money.via @000_asuka
The End is demanding Starbucks to pay $10 million in compensation, according to ABC. Both The End's unicorn latte and the Unicorn Frapp were made without coffee and featured a similar colour scheme.
The Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino was released on April 19, whereas the unicorn latte was allegedly released late last year in December 2016.
The lawsuit is apparently without merit, according to a Starbucks rep who spoke to TMZ.via @itsrebeccajoelle
