In case you need an excuse to the escape the deep recesses of your textbook on Tuesdays, the ROM has a perfect (and FREE) solution for you.

In September, the ROM reminded us on Twitter that they offer FREE entry on Tuesdays to all full-time post-secondary students attending Canadian institutions, giving you the perfect opportunity to take that picture with the T-Rex that you missed out on because you couldn’t afford the last Friday Night Live at the ROM.

Part of their ROMCAN (ROM Community Access Network) initiative, which seeks ways to make the Museum accessible to everyone, Free ROM Tuesdays gives you the perfect reason to leave the library and have some well deserved fun - even when you’re broke AF.

Delve into the suite of Earth’s Treasures where you’ll find seriously awe-inspiring crystals and gemstones that will have you feeling hella woke.

Or indulge for a moment in some childhood nostalgia and brave the Bat Cave as many times as your little heart desires (or at least until the 5-year-old beside you tells his mom you’ve had too many turns).

Not much is needed for this day of adventure in the city - all you need is your current university or college student card to prove you’re a full-time student to gain general admission access.

So what’s the catch? Free admission doesn’t include access to any special exhibitions, like the upcoming Vikings exhibition dropping this November.

You can find more info on admission and hours here.
